IMG 3782After waking up at 2 a.m. and not being able to sleep, this vessel still on the table where it had been unfinished for a couple of weeks, not really knowing where to go with it, I  finally completed it four hours later. Not too happy about the end result, but now I can move on!rite

I love the colors you've used ..that piece would go so well in my decor :) As for not liking the results. I think it's a very interesting basket just as it is but what's good about this one is that, with all the open coiling, it seems to have great possibilities for adding to it. For example, some dreamcatcher weaving with waxed linen would work quite well in some of the open areas. In fact you could create 2 separate dreamcatchers on metal rings and insert them into the tear drop shaped openings to the left and right of the mail basket.

Beautiful work Sheri, you are quite talented.

Barb,
I am so glad you like my colors and like your ideas of the dreamcatcher idea in the open areas! I will check out your site, always looking for dyed pine needles. I am now working with Ironwood needlesfrom Hawaii as well, and will be showing some pieces with it soon
